Pacifica Sea Foam Complete Face Wash Review

neonchimpunk:

Pacifica, a vegan perfume company, recently launched a skincare line. These new product looked really intriguing, so I picked up the Sea Foam Complete Face Wash which Pacifica claims will “harness the powder of the ocean with marine extracts. Coconut water and natural actives come together in a gentle, sulfate free foaming cleanser that removes daily toxins and makeup. Deeply cleanser, balance, and refresh tried skin.” Pacifica says this cleanser is suitable for all skin types. The Sea Foam Complete Face Wash was formulated without sulfates, parabens, petroleum, SLS, or phthalates. Pacifica is a 100% cruelty free, vegan friendly company. I bought my 5 fl oz bottle of cleanser for $11, which is slightly more than I’d like to pay for a cleanser. Click through to see if it was worth it.

Revlon Tutti Fruitti Colorburst Lip Butter Review

Revlon’s Colorburst Lip Butters are probably the most popular lipstick release of the last few years. Everyone has one, or has at least read numerous reviews. I’ve previously reviewed Cherry Tart and Candy Apple, this review is for Tutti Frutti, the long coral/orange shade out of the twenty color range. Revlon claims that these sheer, moisturizing lipsticks contain beneficial ingredients like coconut, mango, and shea butters. Revlon says that the “gel formula provides supercharged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth.”  The Lip Butter formula is supposedly so moisturizing that 94% of women say “softer, smoother, instantly hydrated lips.” I bought my Tutti Frutti Lip Butter at Ulta for around $6.Click through for the full review.

Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer Review

neonchimpunk:

Tarte’s Amazonian Clay BB Illuminating Moisturizer is an “illuminating tinted moisturizer that goes above and beyond what an illuminator can do. It visibly brightens and hydrates skin as it delivers a sheer veil of illumination with subtle coverage in a universal tint to diffuse small imperfections. This natural skin brightener is infused with Amazonian Clay, vitamins, and tea extract to visibly brighten and hydrate skin as it adds a hint of glimmer. No matter your skin concern, Amazonian Clay completely neutralizes so you are left with a radiant complexion.” Finally, I get to try one of Tarte’s famed Amazonian Clay products! Tarte offers only one shade of this for this BB Cream, called Champagne. I got a 9ml (.3 fl oz) tube in Tarte’s Prime, Shine, and Define kit, which I bought at Sephora for $12. The full size of this BB Cream/Tinted Moisturizer contains 30ml (1 fl oz) and retails for $32. Click through for the full review.

Makeup Academy Shade 18 Matte Eyeshadow Review

neonchimpunk:

Makeup Academy is a wallet friendly cosmetic company from the UK. I first heard of the brand while watching one of Lauren Luke’s videos. I requested a few of their eyeshadows during a swap with my friend Rae and received shades 56, and the subject of this review, 18. Makeup Academy calls their single eyeshadows “super pigmented, smooth, and easy to apply, these are a must have item from Makeup Academy”. Shade 18 is one of only 5 matte eyeshadows in the range. Each eyeshadow contains 2g and retails for £1 ($1.60 USD). Click through for a full review.

loveheatherette:

Friday Favorite: Sephora Anti Shine Primer. I rediscovered this primer this week and I actually really like it! It keeps me matte all day. It feels tacky at first but I just apply a little at a time on my forehead, nose, chin and each cheek. I wait about 30 seconds before I apply my foundation and it applies great. I bought this on sale for $5. Now it’s repackaged and maybe reformulated and it costs $17.

Avon Glow Bronzing Gel Review

neonchimpunk:

Avon’s new Glow Bronzing Gel is a “lightweight, buildable bronzer that instantly gives you the look of a sunkissed tan.” This innovative new product is promised to be stain and streak free. Avon offers two shades; Light Bronze and Deep Bronze, my review is featuring Light Bronze. This liquid bronzer contains 1 fl oz (30ml), the same amount in a standard foundation. The full price for the Glow Bronzing Gel will be $11, but it’s currrently available for $4.99, which is how much I paid for it.Click through for my thoughts on this product.

Pixi Correction Concentrate Review

neonchimpunk:

Pixi’s much buzzed about Correction Concentrate is a “highly pigmented correcting concealer that instantly erases darkness, softens, and blurs lines. Skin immediately looks fresh, rested, bright, and youthful. This ultimate ‘good night’s sleep in a jar’ camouflage cream is correction perfection in a pot.” This tone corrector contains “Vitamin E to nourish and protect, Vitamin C to brighten and revitalize, Vitamin A for an anti-aging effect, and rose hip extract for it’s cell regenerating and skin elasticity boosting properties.” Pixi is a brand that really appeals to me, but I’ve always felt like the products were overpriced. Luckily, Correction Concentrate is one of the brand’s most affordable products, retailing for $15 for 3g (.1 oz) of product. Pixi is exclusively available in Target, as well as the brand’s website. I bought this concealer for myself as a birthday goody after hearing my favorite YouTuber EmilyNoel 83 rave about it and compare it to pricey products like Benefit’s Erase Paste and Bobbi Brown’s Corrector. Pixi products are cruelty free.Click through for the full review.

Hey saw your post about the ipsy bag and was wondering 1. Is it worth it? 2. Is there a way to do like a trial month where you only pay for 1 month

Mary:

Yes I think it’s definitely worth it if you have $10 spare in your budget. The products you get are always worth a lot more than the $10 you spend. (My bag was worth about $70 this month for example). There isn’t currently a trial period, but you can subscribe for one month and cancel right away if you don’t enjoy your bag. I have a post about My Thoughts on Ipsy if you want a more in-depth look at the service.

Essence Volumizing Lash Powder Review

neonchimpunk:

Essence is a European drugstore brand that offers some pretty unique products, including their Volumizing Lash Powder. Essence calls this product “artificial mini fibers for a false lash effect.” I picked up this lash booster at Ulta for about $3.50. Each jar of Volumizing Lash Powder contaisn .6 oz (1.8g) if fibers. This product was made in Germany, Essence’s home country. This product is not safe for contact lense wearers. Click through for my full review.

hi, can you guys recommend any clear lip glosses under $10? I've tried Rimmel's but I don't like how sticky it is (though that might be my product getting old)

Mary:

Wet n Wild’s Clear Glassy Gloss ($3) is fantastic, as is NYC’s Liquid Lip Shine ($3). The least sticky clear gloss I’ve found is Avon’s Glazewear Gloss ($6)
